Overview

Julie is a skilled business litigation attorney with extensive experience in complex disputes. Prior to joining the firm, Julie worked as the owner and attorney of her own law office, where she provided outside general counsel and litigation advisory services, including successful case management for multi-state and multi-year commercial litigation.

Julie also worked as a commercial litigation attorney, handling a wide range of matters including breach of contract, business torts, business ownership disputes, intellectual property, employment law, real estate and construction defect litigation, and professional negligence. She achieved successful settlements and trial outcomes for her clients. Julie began her legal career as a staff attorney at the Colorado Supreme Court Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel, where she gained experience in attorney ethics and discipline matters.

Experience

Supervised and coordinated local counsel for corporate client in multi-year, multi-state federal and state commercial litigation involving financing and contractual disputes, resulting in successful settlement which allowed the client to remain in business.

Successfully defended law firm client at trial in quiet title litigation arising from transfer of client's real property to law firm.

Served as appellate counsel on behalf of developer seeking easement access through eminent domain for an oil and gas pipeline.

Defended landowners in litigation with adjacent property owners over boundary dispute.

Represented large corporate client in construction defect litigation regarding improper construction of a landfill gas-to-energy facility. 

Represented home builder in construction defect litigation involving improper design, materials, and workmanship of grading and retention walls of mountain property.

Reached favorable settlement in highly contested business ownership litigation over the dissolution of their partnership.

Obtained summary judgment on behalf of small business in employment and wage dispute claims as part of larger litigation over ownership of the small business.

Successfully represented women’s rodeo promoters in commercial dispute over event access and non-competition agreement.

First chair legal experience in obtaining arbitration award in favor of client in contract dispute.

Awarded large money judgment at trial in favor of law firm client in fee dispute case.

Successfully defended client who provided national litigation management services against unauthorized practice of law charges.
