Overview
Jonah advises investors, developers, syndicators and community development entities on financings nationwide. He collaborates with project teams to structure, negotiate and close complex transactions utilizing a mix of federal and state tax credit investments.
Jonah has significant knowledge of new markets tax credits (NMTC), historic rehabilitation tax credits, renewable energy tax credits and opportunity funds, and he helps his clients navigate the unique structuring and compliance implications of transactions leveraging those and other incentives.
Outside of the office, Jonah enjoys hiking and biking the great Colorado outdoors with his family and their golden doodle, Wally.
Experience
Represented a federal historic rehabilitation tax credit investor with respect to an investment in a $93 million commercial office building development in St. Louis.
Assisted a federal NMTC investor across three investments in the construction and equipping of an aluminum reprocessing facility in Texas, with an aggregate project development budget of approximately $80 million.
Represented an investment tax credit (ITC) investor in a renewable energy (solar) and opportunity fund transaction involving numerous project sites across New Jersey.
Assisted a land owner in connection with the NMTC financing of a commercial and industrial park development on Colorado’s Western Slope.
Represented a community development entity with respect to an investment in the construction and equipping of a grocery store to address a food desert in Kansas City.
