Jennifer designs custom estate planning strategies for individuals and businesses to minimize estate, gift, income and other taxes.

She drafts and implements wills and trusts that meet planned giving goals, preserve generational wealth and take special needs planning and other factors into consideration. She also spends significant time on trust administration and probate matters, including guardianships and conservatorships.  Jennifer has experience working with clients, including high net-worth families, of national banks and insurance companies. She also teaches financial professionals about trusts and estates law.

A former market executive and senior trust officer for The Commerce Trust Company, she managed the private trusts of high-net worth individuals and assisted non-profit organizations with their foundation funds.  She previously served on the estate planning nationwide attorney network for UBS and MetLife. She has extensive experience with planned giving, and is a member of and advises Wichita State University Foundation’s Planned Giving Council. She has served as an expert witness in trust construction cases, and speaks to financial professionals on the ethical duties of providing advice to the elderly and issues of mental capacity. Jennifer has taught the estate-planning course for the American College’s “Certified Financial Planner” accreditation, and regularly speaks on developments in the law.
