Jama brings a collaborative approach to her real estate law practice. Knowledgeable about the industry, Jama concentrates on commercial leasing, mergers, acquisitions and dispositions of retail, industrial, office and mixed-use projects.

Jama combines strong experience working with landlords and tenants on leasing transactions. She takes a business-oriented approach to work negotiating on behalf of buyers, sellers, borrowers and lenders on all facets of real estate finance to move business forward. Jama leverages in-house perspectives gained during her tenure as region counsel at Supervalu Inc., now part of Unified Natural Foods, Inc., to guide retail and other commercial development projects nationwide.


As region counsel to Supervalu, Jama served as primary legal counsel to seven retail banners, giving her a strong understanding of retail real estate, including retail credit and lending, and ancillary issues such as supply agreements, contracts, and transportation concerns.

She applies top-notch team management skills to cost-effectively deliver on complicated real estate transactions.

Jama takes the time to understand her clients’ business model and goals to inform her counsel on their commercial real estate needs.
