A skilled litigator, Cierra organizes and oversees numerous products liability and toxic tort cases in real time.

Overview

Cierra has successfully resolved multiple products liability cases for her clients at an early stage through diligent and aggressive fact investigation. She currently defends a chemical manufacturer and its insurers in state and federal court lawsuits across the country involving personal injuries and other mass tort claims from diacetyl exposure.

She regularly attends hearings to move the cases along, deposing fact witnesses routinely, namely individual plaintiffs, plaintiffs' spouses and plaintiffs' physicians. In addition, she frequently conducts third party discovery work by reviewing employment records, medical records and codefendant discovery production.

Experience

Cierra leads her diacetyl team on an extensive number of cases, seeing each matter through a system of case management reports, quarterly reports and team meetings.

Dedicated to the firm's pro bono efforts, she has second-chaired two bench trials involving the state's removal of children from their mothers. Cierra secured complete relief for one of the mothers, reuniting that mother with her three-year old child. She has also obtained several Orders of Protection for domestic violence victims in Missouri.
