Skillful in bankruptcy proceedings and litigation, Brittany delivers a variety of legal solutions to creditors' committees, commercial creditors, debtors, and others in complex bankruptcies, workout scenarios, insolvency situations, and related circumstances and disputes.


Brittany has successfully represented unsecured creditors' committees, debtors, and large commercial creditors in complex chapter 11 cases in Minnesota, Texas, the Southern District of New York, Delaware, South Dakota, and elsewhere. Brittany has extensive experience in mass tort or multiple tort bankruptcies, including representing tort claimants and debtors.


Brittany was an invaluable member of the team representing the committees of unsecured creditors (the abuse survivors) in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, Diocese of Duluth, Diocese of New Ulm, and Diocese of Winona bankruptcies.

Brittany has particular expertise in the areas of third-party releases, the interplay of bankruptcy and the First Amendment, legally defining bankruptcy estates, and the management of settlement trusts.

A skilled writer, Brittany has drafted briefs for the bankruptcy court, district court, and appellate level.

Brittany manages all bankruptcy matters for several Fortune 500 companies, including handling avoidance action litigation, claims and contract disputes, plan objections, relief from stay motions, and adversary proceeding defense.
