Barclay’s practice includes preparing and prosecuting patents in electrical, computer, telecommunication and related fields.
Barclay has experience representing high profile multinational companies in patent prosecution, infringement, trademark litigations and other intellectual property issues in China. He has experience in wireless network, fixed network, software, electronic device devices, electronic medical device, patent pool, business methods, and mechanical devices.
Prior to joining the firm, Barclay was an IP attorney in China where his focus was on patent and trademark issues. He drafted patent applications in electronic, communication, software, and mechanic industry. He also represented clients in IP disputes, including patent infringement, patent invalidation and trademark cancellation disputes.
Successfully represented Oerlikon before the China Supreme Court in litigation matter involving the use of texturing machines
Successfully represented DIOR against the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board (TRAB) after the Beijing No.1 Intermediate People's Court revoked the TRAB's decision and recognized DIOR as a well-known trademark
Successfully represented ASUS and Grandoe against trademark squatters before the Beijing No.1 Intermediate People's Court and the Beijing High People's Court
Successfully represented Honda, Delphi and other multinational companies in patent litigations before Courts in Fujian, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other influential IP courts.
Prosecuted patent applications for Huawei and other high profile multinational companies.
