Anne’s financial acumen and years of experience allow her to find innovative legal solutions for her clients’ transactional needs.
Anne represents businesses ranging from entrepreneurial start-ups to publicly-traded national companies with respect to M&A, investment and joint venture transactions, capital raising and securities law compliance, and corporate governance. She delivers value to her clients through responsive counseling, efficient project management, technical precision, and timely and effectively delivering solutions focused on achieving business objectives. Anne has particular experience representing clients in the industries of real estate, health care and life sciences, technology, manufacturing and agriculture.
Anne counsels clients at all stages of their business, delivering value through effective solutions focused on achieving business objectives. For clients without an internal legal department, Anne often serves as outside general counsel, collaborating with her Stinson colleagues in other practice areas to address all of their legal needs. In addition, Anne works with closely held and family businesses, providing ongoing advice to their owners and boards on sophisticated business and succession planning, governance and general corporate matters.
Anne has represented Rebiotix Inc., a late-stage clinical microbiome company, in its 2018 sale to Ferring Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical group headquartered in Saint-Prex, Switzerland.
She has also represented Midcontinent Communications in its 2017 acquisition of the WOW! internet, cable and phone system in Lawrence, Kansas.
She has represented privately-held companies across multiple industries in the sale of their companies to strategic buyers, industry consolidators or private equity firms.
Anne has represented developers, sponsors, private investment companies, funds and joint venture partners developing and/or making equity and preferred equity investments in, multifamily residential apartment complexes, senior housing and assisted living communities, student housing, office buildings, mixed-use commercial buildings, and industrial buildings located in Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin. Anne’s clients have collectively developed more than a billion dollars in projects she has helped to finance.
Anne has represented privately held companies in the medical technology, software and SAAS, solar panel manufacturing, cybersecurity, and other industries in several rounds and series of preferred equity financing by strategic investors and venture capital funds.
Anne effectively manages the provision of other legal services to her clients, including employment, intellectual property, litigation, tax, real estate and employee benefits services.
