FTCWatch Highlights Jon Ripa Joining Stinson in Minneapolis
Stinson Partner Jon Ripa, who joined the firm's Minneapolis office this fall, is featured in an FTCWatch article published on December 14. Prior to Stinson, Ripa worked at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) where he represented them in various merger challenges and high-profile investigations, which helped him develop substantial experience in competition law in multiple industries.
"I had accomplished a lot of what I wanted to accomplish when I went to the commission," Ripa said in regards to his decision to leave the FTC after nearly seven years. He added, "There couldn't be a better time to come from the government and advise clients."
His family played an integral role in his decision, as he and his wife have two young kids, and moving to the Twin Cities area puts them closer to relatives.
"My hope and goal at Stinson is to continue doing antitrust deal work for current clients and new clients and to continue honing and deploying my litigation skill set," Ripa said.
Ripa provides representation to clients of all sizes facing tough business challenges and continues to counsel clients on antitrust cases throughout several diverse industries. His FTC experience continues to help clients and colleagues navigate how a specific industry works and enables him to provide a unique and valuable perspective.
