World Trademark Review 1000 Ranks Stinson Leonard Street’s Joel Leviton Among Top Tier of Intellectual Property Attorneys
Stinson Leonard Street LLP partner Joel Leviton was listed in the top tier for trademark attorneys in Minnesota by World Trademark Review 1000. This is the fourth year in a row Leviton has earned the designation and he is one of only two attorneys in the state to be named to the Gold tier in both the enforcement and litigation and prosecution and strategy categories.
“The brand protection strategies crafted by this ‘high-caliber lawyer’ succeed for patrons long into the future,” World Trademark Review said of Leviton.
The annual list is the only stand-alone publication to recommend individual practitioners and their firms exclusively in the trademark field and to identify the leading players in 70 key jurisdictions globally. To compile its rankings over the course of four months, the publication conducts extensive interviews with hundreds of lawyers and their clients, and gathers written submissions from throughout the IP industry.
A Gold ranking means Leviton received the most positive comments from his peers. According to WTR, a Gold ranking lawyer’s success “hinges on a reputation established over lengthy periods of time, something which enables [the attorney] to secure the most high-profile, big-ticket work from the most prestigious of clients.”
Leviton is a partner in Stinson Leonard Street’s Minneapolis office. He works closely with clients to develop global brand protection strategies and advises on selecting, clearing, registering and enforcing trademarks in the U.S. and abroad. In addition to his transactional IP experience, Leviton handles disputes involving trademarks, copyrights, advertising claims, and domain names, including litigation in federal courts. He routinely represents clients in proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
