Three Stinson Staff Members Honored as 2019 Unsung Legal Heroes

Stinson LLP is delighted to announce that Laura McDermott and Julie Williams have been recognized as 2019 Unsung Legal Heroes by Missouri Lawyers Weekly, and Jess Rehbein has been recognized by Minnesota Lawyer. McDermott is the office manager in Stinson's Jefferson City and Omaha offices, while Rehbein in a legal administrative assistant in Minneapolis, and Williams is the firm's work product support supervisor in Kansas City.

Minnesota Lawyer and Missouri Lawyers Weekly each honor 25 legal professionals annually in the categories of accounting, firm administration, information technology, legal marketing, legal administrative assistance, office management and paralegals. 

McDermott has been with the firm since 1998, and is responsible for the overall operations of the Omaha and Jefferson City offices. She collaborates with attorneys and staff to ensure exceptional client service, supervises administrative staff, communicates with outside vendors and building management, and arranges accommodations for attorneys travelling from other offices. 

Rehbein joined the firm in 2017 as an assistant for the Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights division, assembling documents and assisting with time entry, meeting and communications. She has been an essential part of major verdicts and pro bono cases, including the overturning of a pro bono client's removal order, preventing his deportation to Somalia. 

Williams has been with Stinson since 2005, and as a supervisor, she is responsible for ensuring all operations are aligned with user requests for document support. Williams served as the point person when it came to internal document and template changes during the firm's rebrand in April 2019 providing assistance for document creation, PDF manipulation and special projects.
