Stinson Leonard Street Represents Capital West Bank in Successful Sale to ANB Bank
MINNEAPOLIS (October 27, 2014)—Stinson Leonard Street LLP represented Capital West Bank in its successful sale to ANB Bank, which serves both business and individual customers in Colorado, Wyoming and Kansas City. Its parent company is Sturm Financial Group of Denver.
The private deal closed on October 1, 2014, for undisclosed terms. The merger was first announced on May 14, 2014.
The $160 million Capital West Bank, headquartered in Laramie, Wy. had branches in Cheyenne and Fort Collins, CO., which will now be called ANB Bank. The purchase will add to ANB Bank’s presence in Wyoming and Colorado and will increase the Bank’s total assets to more than $2.3 billion and rank it within the top 6% of banks nationwide by total assets.
The Stinson Leonard Street team serving as legal counsel to Capital West Bank included partner Ernie Panasci and associate Ryan M. Behrman of the firm’s Denver office. D.A. Davidson & Co. served as financial advisor to Capital West Bank.
