Stinson Leonard Street partner Steve Cosentino Named to Board of KC Sports Commission & Foundation
Stinson Leonard Street LLP partner Steve Cosentino was named a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Kansas City Sports Commission & Foundation. Cosentino is one of five new members recently appointed to the board.
Since 1966, the Sports Commission has worked to promote sports and recreation at every level by sponsoring annual youth clinics, community and membership luncheons and community-sponsored athletic events. The organization has helped generate in excess of $750 million in estimated economic impact to the Kansas City metropolitan area. The non-profit organization also works behind the scenes to attract, retain and facilitate major sporting events and organizations in the community and promotes the benefits of youth sports.
The board of directors helps to guide and support the Sports Commission & Foundation’s staff and assists with corporate sponsorship needs.
Cosentino is an avid endurance athlete having competed in the Kansas City Marathon twice along with four full Ironman triathlons. He is a leader in a local triathlon and cycling team, Raging Bull Racing. Cosentino hopes to use his skills as a technology lawyer and community leader to help promote sports in Kansas City and give back to the local sports community.
Cosentino is a partner in the firm’s Kansas City and chairs the Intellectual Property and Technology Division. His primary focus is on technology related transactions and compliance, with an emphasis on software licensing and services, data center services, outsourcing, Internet privacy, advertising, cloud computing and cybersecurity in the banking, technology and health care industries. He also has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions. Cosentino has been listed on Technology Law’s Best Lawyers of America List for the past four years.
