Stinson Leonard Street Opens New Offices in Dallas and Denver
Stinson Leonard Street LLP expanded its national footprint today by adding new offices in Dallas and Denver.
In Texas, Stinson and Lackey Hershman L.L.P. announced that they have agreed to combine effective June 1, 2018, resulting in a new Stinson office in the heart of Dallas. Partners, attorneys and staff formerly at Lackey Hershman will be part of Stinson.
In Colorado, Stinson will move into more than 7,000 square feet of space in the Independence Plaza building on 17th Street in downtown Denver. The firm will also continue to serve clients from its existing office in the Denver Tech Center in Greenwood Village, with plans to add attorneys in both locations.
"This is a historic day for our firm," said Mark Hinderks, Stinson's managing partner. "We executed these two moves in different parts of the country, but for the same reason: our firm is growing to better serve our existing clients, develop new client relationships and attract new attorneys. Texas and Colorado are two markets that will play key roles in our law firm's continued success."
Hinderks noted that the two new offices will help the firm deliver sophisticated legal services while maintaining its value proposition.
"We have the resources and geographic positioning to serve a nationwide client base effectively and efficiently without compromising on knowledge, technology, project management proficiency or client service dedication," he said.
Stinson is a full-service AmLaw 200 firm with 475 attorneys in 15 U.S. locations. The firm represents clients in multiple industries, including financial services, energy, health care, real estate, transportation and technology. Stinson has an innovative distributed headquarters operation, with substantial offices in Kansas City, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Phoenix, Denver, Wichita, Omaha, Washington, DC, and now Dallas.
Lackey Hershman represents clients across the country and throughout the world in the private equity, financial services and health care industries. Their trial lawyers counsel business and other clients through complex matters in state and federal courtrooms, as well as in alternative dispute resolution settings.
The combination in Texas benefits both firms. Stinson has been exploring opportunities in Texas for some time. The new office brings Lackey Hershman's successful trial practice to Stinson's national footprint, and Stinson's extensive capabilities to Lackey Hershman's client base in Texas.
"This is a tremendous opportunity for our firm to grow and reinvest in Dallas," said Paul Lackey, Stinson's managing partner in Dallas. "Our national and international clients will benefit immensely from Stinson's broad legal and business experience, deep knowledge of several key industries and commitment to providing the highest level of service. This combination gives our firm yet another competitive advantage and lays the foundation for continued success moving forward."
In Colorado, Stinson will be one of the few law firms with multiple locations in the Denver area. Stinson attorneys will have the flexibility to serve clients from either office.
"To strengthen our commitment to Colorado, maintain high levels of client service and accommodate our growth, we needed more room in the right place with the right features," said Deb Bayles, managing partner of Stinson's Colorado offices. "Our new space, in a premium office building within a vibrant business and entertainment district, provides convenient access to clients and the courts, and allows our attorneys the flexibility to provide service from either of our offices. We are primed for growth."
