Stinson Leonard Street Jumps 12 Spots in the AM Law 200 Pro Bono Rankings

Press Release
08.02.2018

The American Lawyer recently released its 2018 Pro Bono Scorecard of the nation's 200 highest-grossing firms. Stinson Leonard Street LLP is pleased to announce that it moved up twelve spots to #56 in this year's rankings.

Scores are assigned based on two factors:

  • The average number of pro bono hours per lawyer in 2017
  • The percentage of lawyers who performed more than 20 hours of pro bono work in 2017

Last year, on average, Stinson attorneys donated 49.9 hours to pro bono, with 57.6 percent of attorneys donating 20 or more hours to pro bono. The firm is a signatory to the Law Firm Pro Bono Challenge®, pledging to donate 3 percent of total billable hours to pro bono every year, a goal which it surpassed again in 2017 with a donation of nearly 3.5 percent, or 23,959 hours, to pro bono at a value of $8.8 million in legal services.

“Our commitment to pro bono is not pro forma. It is at the heart of our firm’s identity,” said Mark Hinderks, Stinson’s Managing Partner. “It is not about recording pro bono hours; it is about serving pro bono clients with the same dedication we serve all clients."
