Stefan Palys Elected Speaker of the ABA Young Lawyers Division
Stinson Leonard Street LLP partner Stefan Palys was elected Speaker of the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division for the 2015-2016 bar year.
The ABA Young Lawyers Division Assembly is the principal policy-making body of the Division. As Speaker, Palys will lead the Assembly meetings.
Palys practices in the firm's litigation division in the Phoenix office. He focuses on business litigation, eDiscovery issues, intra-corporate disputes and lender liability defense. He also handles civil rights litigation and appeals.
He is an active member of the ABA Young Lawyers Division having served as the vice chair of the tort, trial and insurance practice section, the co-chair of the bankruptcy section, a district representative for Arizona and New Mexico to the assembly, and the administrative co-director among other positions.
In 2014, he was honored for both his legal and civic work with election to the American Bar Foundation – an honor reserved for less than 1 percent of attorneys in each jurisdiction.
"I am honored to serve as Speaker of the American Bar Association's Young Lawyer Division Assembly," Palys said. "I feel strongly about the work the division does on behalf of young lawyers and for the public around the country, and am excited to help lead its efforts to do so."
