Russell Frisby, Jr. Featured in ABA AdLaw Section Member Spotlight Series
Partner H. Russell Frisby, Jr. was recently featured in the American Bar Association's Administrative Law & Regulatory Practice Section Spotlight Series. Frisby detailed leading the firm's Telecommunications Practice and being co-leader of the State Regulatory Practice Group. Frisby also discussed his role on the ABA Board of Governors as the section's representative. When asked about the best advice he had ever received, Frisby said it came from his grandfather.
"He told me that I should never be afraid to think outside of the box or to go my own way if I thought that I was correct. This advice has helped me particularly as I have had to craft unique solutions to cutting edge or difficult regulatory issues."
Russell counsels companies in the energy, communications and technology industries on regulatory and corporate issues. He champions these entities in administrative proceedings, litigation and advocacy efforts, and provides strategic and corporate advice. He has represented clients before the Executive Branch, Congress, the Federal Communications Commission, the Department of Energy, the Federal Trade Commission state utility commissions, state legislatures, federal courts and has testified before congressional committees.
