Relocating to Nicollet Mall, Stinson Leonard Street Extends 95-year history in Downtown Minneapolis
After 18 months of planning, designing, building, packing and moving, Stinson Leonard Street LLP today opened for business at its new downtown Minneapolis office at Fifty South Sixth on Nicollet Mall. Nearly 320 attorneys and staff occupy the new space.
"Today is a significant day for both the history and future of our law firm," said Mark Hinderks, Stinson's managing partner. "Our Minneapolis office is staying downtown, where it's been for 95 years, and it is a superb example of beautiful, intelligent design. The upgrades we have made in construction, technology and footprint flexibility will translate to an energizing, more collaborative work environment and even better client service."
The full-service law firm signed a 16-year lease for 108,000 square feet on four floors. Design highlights include windows and glass walls that direct light to interior spaces, an open floor plan allowing for a free flow of information between different practice areas and administrative support teams, and 26 state-of-the-art conference rooms, featuring a main conference center capable of hosting 150 people. Informal gathering spaces are strewn throughout the space, and embedded technology and ergonomic furniture –mobile devices, sit-to-stand desks, ambient sound control and other modern touches—create an engaging, productive environment.
Situated in Minneapolis's thriving central business district on the reconstructed Nicollet Mall, the office boasts stunning views of the Mississippi River to the north and Target Field to the west. The building offers a tenant-only fitness center and convenient access to parking and mass transit. The 29-story Class A tower is owned by Hines Global REIT. Gensler Minneapolis led the design of the new space, with NTH, a Minneapolis-based office real estate brokerage, representing Stinson. Gardner Builders led construction of the new space.
"I want to thank our attorneys and staff for making this move as trouble-free as possible. Though we moved only two blocks, the effort was still immense," said Jill Radloff, managing partner of the Minneapolis office. "We are excited to be in our new space, and we welcome this wonderful opportunity to be better than ever at what we do."
