Megan McCurdy Receives 2019 "Women Who Mean Business" Award
Stinson LLP is proud to announce that Partner Megan McCurdy was named to the 2019 Women Who Mean Business class by the Kansas City Business Journal. The award will be presented at a ceremony at Overland Park Convention Center on August 23.
This award honors women who have made significant contributions to their business or industry, as well as their community. Honorees are most often entrepreneurs, highest-ranking females at their companies, partners leading practice groups, or serving on an executive committee. This year's ceremony marks the 20th anniversary of the program.
"Megan represents her clients with judgment, poise and great skill," said Allison Murdock, Stinson's deputy managing partner. "Her commitment to providing excellent client service combined with dedication to her profession and community make Megan very deserving of this award."
McCurdy is co-chair of one of the firm's Business Litigation division, and concentrates her practice on financial services, contract disputes, business torts and product liability actions. She often handles complex lawsuits and arbitrations, encompassing all aspects of the litigation process.
In addition to her practice, McCurdy currently serves on the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law alumni board, mentors young professionals in the Mid America Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, and is active in state and local bar associations. She previously chaired the board for the Women's Employment Network, and has also been recognized by Benchmark Litigation as a Top Litigator Under 40, by Missouri Lawyers as an Up & Coming Attorney, and by Missouri Lawyers Weekly as a Women's Justice Award winner.
