Marc Albert Named to Board of Directors of National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees
Stinson Leonard Street LLP partner Marc Albert was elected to the board of directors of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees.
The 1143 member National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees (NABT) is the voice of the Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee community, serving its interests and needs through education, communication and promotion of the profession. Membership in the nonprofit association is open to Chapter 7 trustees and their staff, judges, employees of the Office of the U.S. Trustee, attorneys, accountants, auctioneers, appraisers, insurance agents, software providers and bankers.
Albert practices in Washington, DC and chairs the firm's the Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Group. For over 35 years he has practiced in the areas of financial restructuring, insolvency and creditors' rights. Albert represents Debtors, Creditor Committees, Lenders and other Creditors. He has served as Operating Trustee in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 cases. He has also served on the Chapter 7 Trustee Panel in the District of Columbia for more than 30 years. He also serves as a Receiver in various District of Columbia Superior Court cases.
