Kristin Berger Parker Named Up & Coming Attorney by Minnesota Lawyers
Stinson Leonard Street LLP is pleased to announce that Minneapolis partner Kristin Berger Parker was named 2017 Up & Coming Attorneys by Minnesota Lawyer.
Each year Minnesota Lawyer recognizes a select group of attorneys who have distinguished themselves through their work, leadership and community service roles in the first 10 years of entering the legal profession. To make the selections, Minnesota Lawyer seeks input from judges, bar groups and attorneys. Nominees are selected based on their professional accomplishments, leadership and service. The paper hosted an awards reception Sept. 7, 2017 in Minneapolis to recognize the honorees.
Parker represents employers in all aspects of the employment relationship, including litigating employment disputes in federal and state courts across the country. She proactively counsels clients on workplace issues, such as wage and hour compliance, and managing FMLA leave and ADA accommodations. She has particular experience in noncompete, nonsolicitation and trade secret cases. She also represents employers defending claims brought under state and federal nondiscrimination and wage and hour statutes.
Prior to joining the firm, she served as a judicial clerk to the late Honorable John R. Gibson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. She is a member of the board of directors for WATCH and Park Square Theatre. Parker earned her J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law.
