Kenda Tomes Selected to the 2019 Class of Ingram's Rainmakers
Stinson LLP Partner Kenda Tomes was recently named to Ingram’s Magazine’s 2019 class of “WeKC & Legal Rainmakers,” or top business generators in their respective fields. This year’s class is dedicated to the 10 top-producing women in business and six top Rainmakers in the legal profession. Tomes and the other Rainmakers were featured in the November edition of Ingram’s and honored at an awards luncheon on November 18.
Tomes is chair of Stinson's Structured Finance & Securitization practice, where she represents national commercial loan services in complex commercial mortgage-backed securities transactions. She has served as lead attorney on multiple financing and outsourcing transactions involving assets such as commercial mortgage loans, taxi medallions, charter schools, triple net leases and single family rental loans.
In 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, Tomes and her group successfully closed over $65 billion, $38 billion, $32.5 billion and $25 billion in transactions involving new issuance of commercial mortgage backed securities backed by conduit loans and single asset single borrower loans. In 2019, Tomes and her group closed over $33 billion in similar transactions.
In addition to her practice, Tomes is an American College of Real Estate Lawyers Fellow and participates heavily in the CRE Finance Council, serves on the Women’s Network Advisory Board and was co-chair of multiple task forces. She is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, served as the Kansas City 8th Ward Committeewomen, and is as a leader in her church.
