Javier Torres Named Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Pathfinder
Stinson Leonard Street LLP congratulates Javier Torres on being named to the 2018 class of Pathfinders, a program created by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) to identify, train, and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession. Torres joins a select group of experienced attorneys from diverse backgrounds who have been recognized for their potential as leaders in their organizations.
Over the course of the year-long fellowship, Torres will participate in a learning program that includes in-person conferences, virtual training on the fine points of legal practice, peer-group projects to foster collaboration and build relationships, and extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership and affiliated managing partners and general counsel. More than 1,000 attorneys have completed the Fellows Program.
Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 285 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a more diverse and inclusive legal profession.
Torres is a litigator in the firm's Phoenix office. He has significant commercial litigation experience as well as labor and employment experience in state and federal court, including wrongful termination, retaliation, and wage and hour claims. Torres also counsels clients regarding Native American law and tribal governance.
He earned his J.D. from the University of California-Los Angeles School of Law.
"We are thrilled for Javier.
