Press Release

Stinson Leonard Street LLP partners Jamie Boyer and Megan McCurdy were named to the 2017 "Under 40 Hot List" by Benchmark Litigation. The recognition honors the achievements of the nation’s most accomplished legal partners who are 40 years old or younger, and who have been deemed the most promising talent in their respective litigation communities by peers and clients.

Boyer practices in the firm's St. Louis office. She defends and counsels clients in matters involving local, state and federal regulation, as well as constitutional challenges in state and federal court. She defends states across the country in lawsuits challenging the adequacy and funding of public education and collaborates with state education officials and legislators to draft school-funding statutes. Additionally, she represents companies ranging from Fortune 50 corporations to closely-held family businesses in all types of complex litigation, including products liability, tort and contract claims. She earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law.

For more than 10 years, McCurdy has defended major U.S. corporations in a variety of complex lawsuits and arbitrations from motion practice to discovery to trials. She focuses her practice on contract disputes, product liability defense and financial services litigation. Currently, she represents an electric utility company in Montana in a $100 million property damage dispute. She also recently led the defense of multiple bank clients against multimillion dollar lender liability claims alleging breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, fraud, Missouri Merchandising Practices Act violations and negligence. McCurdy practices in the firm's Kansas City office and co-chairs one of the firm's business litigation divisions.
