Calvin Hoffman, Lauren Routhier Recognized as Up & Coming Attorneys by Minnesota Lawyer

Stinson LLP is excited to announce that partners Calvin Hoffman and Lauren Routhier have been selected as Up & Coming Attorneys for 2019 by Minnesota Lawyer. Honorees will be recognized during a luncheon on September 12 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Minneapolis. 

Minnesota Lawyer recognizes a select group of attorneys annually who have distinguished themselves through their work, leadership and community service roles in the first 10 years of their legal practice. Honorees are selected through input from judges, bar groups and fellow attorneys. 

Hoffman's practice involves financial services litigation and real estate litigation, including individual and class action claims under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. He has experience representing banking and financial services clients and mortgage servicers, as well as commercial lenders and landlords on leasing disputes, evictions, property foreclosures and receivership actions.

"Calvin is an outstanding trial lawyer. In this day and age of fewer and fewer trials, Calvin has distinguished himself as a 'go to' lawyer to try cases, either as lead counsel or as a key part of the trial team," said Marc Simpson, chair of Stinson's real estate litigation practice. "He is calm and cool under pressure, and is a relentless advocate for his clients."

Routhier works with individuals and families on estate planning, tax planning, charitable giving, prenuptial agreements, estate administration, and probate and trust matters. She is also trained as a qualified mediator and guides families and closely held businesses though a wide variety of disputes. Routhier also advises clients on IRS examinations and audits, as well as estate tax reporting, determination of heirship and valuation issues.
