Former DOJ Healthcare Prosecutor Habib Ilahi Joins Stinson in Washington, DC

Stinson LLP is pleased to welcome Habib Ilahi to the firm as a partner in our Washington, DC office.

A former healthcare prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Division, Fraud Section, Ilahi counsels individuals and corporate entities in highly regulated industries through complex healthcare and other government investigations and litigation, and white-collar criminal and civil defense matters. He has worked extensively on matters involving the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute and the Stark Law. He also has experience working with pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, nursing homes, large organizations, small businesses and individuals on high-value reimbursement claims for Medicare, Medicaid or TRICARE. 

Outside of the healthcare arena, Ilahi has represented domestic business entities, government contractors, foreign companies and individuals in various types of government investigations, including procurement fraud, securities and accounting fraud, violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, tax fraud, lobbying violations, and export-control violations.

In addition to his practice, Ilahi is involved with the South Asian Bar Association of Washington, DC and the South Asian Bar Association of North America and has held leadership positions with both organizations.
