Firm's Pro Bono Work With Immigrant Detainees Featured

In the News

Stinson Leonard Street is one of the four Kansas City area law firms providing pro bono representation to immigrant detainees thoroughly the newly formed Deportation Defense Legal Network (DDLN). Television news station KSHB 41 in Kansas City profiled the work of the DDLN recently.

In addition to Stinson, attorneys from Polsinelli, Husch Blackwell and Spencer Fane are providing volunteer legal work. The attorneys help the detainees with things like scheduling bond hearings and ensuring they get a phone call while incarcerated. The attorneys also help the families of the detainees navigate the legal system.
