With many baby boomers still at the helm of construction companies, the industry will be going through a significant transition in the next two decades.

Engineering-News Record addressed this issue in a recent article that quoted Stinson Leonard Street Partner Eileen Day. She commented for many business owners it is inconceivable that they may not run their business someday.

"What many don't realize is that a good succession plan is an important part of their legacy," Day said in the article. "There are professionals who do this for a living and can guide them through the process. They just need to find the right person with the right personality to get them to the table and get them talking."

Day, who co-chairs the firm's Tax, Trusts and Estates Division, serves high net-worth individuals and multi-generations of families, family and closely-held business owners and executives. She focuses on tax planning, business transition planning, inter-generational wealth transfers, philanthropic plans, and estate and trust administration.
