David Everson Named to Legal Services of Eastern Missouri Board of Directors
ST. LOUIS (June 14, 2017)— Stinson Leonard Street is proud to announce that St. Louis partner David Everson has been named to the board of directors for Legal Services of Eastern Missouri.
Everson represents clients in civil and criminal trials, including antitrust, intellectual policy and fraud cases. He has been the lead counsel for clients in several cases consolidated for multidistrict litigation. He represented the Federal Trade Commission in seeking a preliminary injunction to halt a hospital merger and the Kansas Attorney General before the Kansas Supreme Court.
Everson's commitment to pro bono legal service spans his career. In 1997 he was the recipient of a University of Missouri special service award for pro bono representation and in 2007 he received the Whittaker Award from the Lawyers Association of Kansas City. Everson served as President of Legal Aid of Western Missouri 1989-1991, is a past president of the board of directors of the Midwestern Innocence Project and for the last six years has served as a volunteer in Legal Services of Eastern Missouri’s Family Law Program.
Legal Services of Eastern Missouri is an independent, non-profit organization that has provided quality civil legal assistance and equal access to justice for low-income people and the elderly in eastern Missouri for 61 years. In 2016, nearly 30,000 people in 21 counties benefited from Legal Services of Eastern Missouri’s services.
