Dave Frantze, Pat Konopka Honored at KCMBA Awards Dinner
Stinson LLP is proud to announce that Dave Frantze and Pat Konopka were recognized by the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association at their annual Bench-Bar and Boardroom Conference awards dinner on May 16. Frantze received the Baron of the Boardroom Award and Konopka received the Sly James Diversity and Inclusion Award.
Both awards are given annually to KCMBA members for dedication to the profession and the community. The Baron of the Boardroom Award recognizes attorneys with substantial and distinguished careers representing clients in corporate matters. The Sly James Diversity and Inclusion Award is given in partnership with the presidents of Kansas City's diverse bar associations to a legal professional for contributions to diversity and inclusion in the profession.
Frantze represents developers, property owners, tenants and municipalities in complex real estate development matters. His projects have included the use of state supplemental TIF and the Missouri Downtown and Rural Economic Stimulus Act for funding, as well as relocation projects. Frantze also serves as general counsel to the Kansas City Royals.
Konopka represents employers in lawsuits involving wage and hour violations and workplace harassment, discrimination and retaliation. She also counsels employers on all aspects of employment law and human resources practices. Additionally, Konopka is a board member of the Asian American Bar Association of Kansas City and co-chair of the firm's Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
