Corporate Finance Partner Scott Gootee Named to Ingram's Magazine "40 Under Forty" List

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 11, 2017)—Scott Gootee, a corporate finance partner in the Kansas City office of Stinson Leonard Street LLP, was named to the 2017 40 Under Forty list by Ingram's Magazine, the leading business publication covering Missouri and Kansas. Profiles of the honorees were published in the magazine's April issue.

To compile the annual list, Ingram's collects nominations submitted on behalf of Kansas City area business professionals and leaders who have achieved significant success in their careers and the community. Nominees are considered based on: ethics and integrity; leadership skills; achievement in business; entrepreneurship; executive-level managerial status; professional affiliations and associations; appointments to boards and commissions; and community service.

Gootee serves as co-chair of the firm's Public Companies and Securities Practice Group. He advises clients on a wide array of corporate transactional matters. He represents publicly- and privately-held companies with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, capital formation and other transactions. He has extensive experience with securities offerings, preparation of filings under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and securities law compliance in general, and he has counseled several public companies with respect to corporate governance matters.

Ingram's highlighted Gootee's work closing securities offerings aggregating in the billions of dollars on behalf of well-known clients like EPR Properties, Cerner Corp., H&R Block, Euronet Worldwide and UMB. He is also currently participating in the Kansas City Tomorrow program, a civic council initiative designed to identify and train emerging leaders in the Kansas City area. He earned his J.D. from the University of Kansas.
