Brittany Barrientos Selected to the Centurions Leadership Program

Stinson Leonard Street LLP congratulates partner Brittany Barrientos on being named to the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce's Centurions Leadership Program Class of 2019. There are approximately 45 Centurions selected each year and more than 1,200 alumni of the program. Participants are selected after an application and interview.

Centurions volunteer for community service projects and plan and participate in task forces centered on topics like health care and medicine, education, arts and culture and entertainment. The mission of the two-year program is to prepare emerging leaders in the community for the role of shaping the future of the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Barrientos practices in the firm's energy, environmental, mining and transportation division. Her practice includes advising clients as to environmental regulatory requirements, environmental permitting, defense of civil and administrative enforcement actions, environmental due diligence for transactions, and educating clients regarding regulatory requirements and strategies for compliance with environmental laws.

She does pro bono work with clients in the Marlborough Neighborhood of Kansas City through the firm's Adopt-a-Neighborhood initiative. She has also volunteers with the Advocates for Human Rights on international policy issues and works with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through its Man/Woman of the Year and Light the Night campaigns. She is a past co-chair of the firm's fundraising campaign for the United Way of Greater Kansas City.

Barrientos earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri and her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University.
