Ann Jenrette-Thomas Named Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at Stinson Leonard Street
MINNEAPOLIS (Nov. 18, 2016)—Stinson Leonard Street LLP is pleased to announce that, after completing a nationwide search, Ann Jenrette-Thomas has been named the firm's Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer.
In her role, she will implement initiatives consistent with the firm's strategic plan and diversity and inclusion goals. She will also work with the firm's leadership committee, diversity committee and board of directors to institute best practices and training for attorneys and staff throughout the firm's 13 offices.
Jenrette-Thomas is an attorney, coach, consultant and facilitator. As CEO of Esquire Coaching Inc., she worked with leaders in many industries to develop and administer diversity and inclusion programs that enhanced recruitment, retention and promotion of diverse candidates. She also coached and trained employees on diversity issues in the workplace. In addition, she has been a keynote speaker for several national law organizations, including the American Bar Association, WorkLife Law Center, LGBT Bar and the South Asian Bar Association. She is also the compiling editor of the Amazon best seller The Happy Law Practice: Expert Strategies to Build Business and Maintain Peace of Mind.
Prior to starting her own coaching business, Jenrette-Thomas worked in private practice for an Am Law 100 law firm, as a government and nonprofit attorney, as a law professor and as a staff attorney for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
