Adine Momoh Joins Federal Bar Association's National Board and Begins Term as Chair of the FBA's Younger Lawyers Division
Stinson LLP Partner Adine S. Momoh joins the Federal Bar Association’s (FBA) National Board of Directors and begins her year-long term as chair of the FBA’s Younger Lawyers Division today. The voice of young federal practitioners nationwide, the Younger Lawyers Division is the FBA's largest division, with more than 4,000 members.
As chair, Momoh will be responsible for overseeing the division's operations, events and board of directors. In addition, Momoh will also serve as its representative on the FBA's national board.
On the national level, Momoh has taken on many leadership roles within the FBA, as a vice president of the Eighth Circuit, board member of the Younger Lawyers Division’s board of directors, director of the Thurgood Marshall Memorial Moot Court Competition in Washington, DC, and chair of the Chapter Activity Fund Committee. Locally, she has been involved with the Minnesota chapter for several years as a director on its board of directors, vice president of membership, co-chair of the Law School Outreach Committee, and a member of the Communications Committee.
"I am thrilled to begin my term as chair of the Younger Lawyers Division," said Momoh. "I have been involved with the FBA and the great work being done for many years, and I believe this role is a fantastic next step. I look forward to a productive year with the division focused on member engagement, professional networking, and advocacy tailored to those issues important to young federal practitioners."
Momoh is a trial attorney representing clients in various aspects of litigation before state and federal courts across the country. She counsels clients on case development and strategy, discovery, motion practice, trial and appeal in matters involving creditors’ rights and bankruptcy, estates and trusts litigation, and securities and banking litigation.
Outside of her practice, Momoh has served on the boards of various organizations, including The Saint Paul and Minnesota Foundations and Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers. Additionally, she recently completed a year-long term as the 100th president of the Hennepin County Bar Association during its centennial.
Momoh has been honored both nationally and locally for her community involvement, public service and professional achievements. Most recently, she was named a 2019 Attorney of the Year by Minnesota Lawyer. In 2018, she was honored as a 40 Under 40 award recipient by the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal, and in 2016 was recognized by the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges as a Blackshear Presidential Fellow.
