Adine Momoh Selected as Chair of the Saint Paul and Minnesota Foundation's Community Impact Committee
Partner Adine Momoh has been selected as the chair of the Saint Paul and Minnesota Foundation's Community Impact Committee, effective January, 1 2021.
The Saint Paul and Minnesota Foundation is the largest community foundation in Minnesota and one of the largest community foundations and grant-making public charities in the country. As chair, Momoh will continue to further the foundation's mission to improve the lives of Minnesotans through extensive grants and partnerships with nonprofits across the state. She has served on the foundation’s board of directors since 2015.
"I'm thrilled to begin my term as chair and work alongside the incredibly talented staff at the Saint Paul and Minnesota Foundation," said Momoh. "I have long been passionate about helping individuals and families achieve their philanthropic goals to advocate for equity and invest in community-centered solutions. I'm looking forward to a productive term focused on allowing Minnesotans to thrive."
Momoh has taken on many leadership roles both locally and nationally. Last year, she was elected to the Federal Bar Association’s National Board of Directors and began her term as chair of the FBA’s Younger Lawyers Division, where she also serves on its board of directors. Momoh is an active member of Minnesota Women Lawyers, serving as co-chair of their Equity Committee and overseeing their Gender Data Project, which received the National Conference of Women's Bar Association’s 2020 Public Service Award in July 2020.
She has volunteered with a number of other organizations in the community, including Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers (where she served on its board for four years), Just the Beginning Foundation, the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota’s Open Doors Program, the Council on Legal Education Opportunity, and Twin Cities Diversity in Practice. For several years, she has served on the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, previously served on its Recruiting Committee, and currently serves as a chair of the firm’s Estates & Trusts Litigation Practice Group.
She also has received numerous national and local honors for her community involvement, public service and professional achievements. Most recently, Momoh was selected to the 2020 Twin Cities cohort for the Young American Leaders Program at Harvard Business School. In 2020, she was named a Diversity and Inclusion Award Honoree by Minnesota Lawyer. She was named a 2019 Attorney of the Year by Minnesota Lawyer. In 2018, she was honored as a 40 Under 40 award recipient by the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal, and in 2016 she was recognized by the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges as a Blackshear Presidential Fellow.
A dedicated trial attorney, Momoh defends complex business and commercial litigation matters for securities, banking, estates and trusts clients, and resolves creditors’ rights and bankruptcy cases in state and federal courts nationwide.
