Aalok Sharma Recognized as a Leading Sports Lawyer of the Next Generation by the ABA

Stinson LLP is pleased to announce that attorney Aalok Sharma has been recognized by the American Bar Association Forum on Entertainment & Sports Industries as a leading sports lawyer of the next generation.

The recipients of the award are selected based on peer nominations, and will be honored at the 2019 Annual Conference of the Forum on October 11 in Las Vegas.

Sharma will also be a featured speaker at the conference during a plenary session on October 12. Five lawyers are invited to speak at this special session, which will be presented before all conference attendees. Sharma and his fellow panelists will speak on the sports and entertainment industries, as well as their own practices, emerging trends and professional paths.

Sharma, a former NCAA Division I athlete, assists sports and technology businesses in all phases of litigation, including significant motion practice before state and federal courts. He has extensive experience counseling clients in matters related to fan engagement, esports, data analytics, sports gambling and AR/VR.

In addition to his practice, Sharma serves as a board member for the Minnesota Twins Community Fund and the ABA Forum on Sports. He also serves as an outreach captain for the Sports Lawyers Association, and frequently speaks on esports, sports betting and smart venue technology.
