Aalok Sharma Quoted by US Bets
Stinson LLP attorney Aalok Sharma was quoted by US Bets in a recent article on the NCAA's attempts to prohibit student athletes under its control from participating in sports betting, including those who are 21 or older.
Aalok commented on the unwaivering position held by the NCAA not to allow any students participating in its programming to engage in sports betting, and the help the NCAA would need to broaden this platform. These considerations are a result of a May 2018 decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to allow state-regulated sports wagering.
Aalok counsels clients in the sports, media and entertainment industries on matters related to fan engagement, esports, data analytics, sports gambling and AR/VR.
