Zane Gilmer to Speak on Marijuana
Stinson Leonard Street attorney Zane Gilmer will be speaking at an upcoming Colorado Bankers Association (CBA) meeting starting at 8 a.m. January 24, 2017 at the CBA's office, 140 East 19th Ave., Suite 400; Denver 80203.
Zane is presenting with Don Childears, the president and CEO of the CBA. The title of their talk is "Marijuana and Banking: Next Steps?" They will we discuss the implications of the growing prevalence of legalized marijuana, what the impacts may be on your bank and how a new administration and changes in the U.S. Congress could affect federal laws.
During the November general election, nine more states legalized marijuana and three of those approved it for recreational use.
Zane is a partner in the firm's Denver office. He is practice focuses on business litigation, class action defense, and regulatory compliance. He represents clients in state and federal courts and arbitration forums across the country. Zane is also a regular author and presenter on emerging litigation of compliance issues and he is member of the firm's emerging trends subgroup and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau taskforce.
