Stinson Leonard Street Sponsors Kansas City's Animal Health Corridor Homecoming 2015 and Animal Health Investment Forum
Stinson Leonard Street is a presenting sponsor of the 10th Annual Animal Health Corridor Homecoming on Monday, August 31 and the KC Animal Health Investment Forum on September 1, 2015. In addition, Stinson Leonard Street attorneys have volunteered their time in several key, behind-the-scene functions. These two events host the key players in the Kansas City region's business, educational, scientific and government communities to cultivate a climate of opportunity for advancements in technology and companies in the animal health and nutrition industry.
For the 2015 Animal Health Investment Forum, Stinson Leonard Street Partner, Andrea Sellers participated in the difficult job of serving on the selection committee who determines the companies who will go on to present their business plan and vision at the Investment Forum to judges and participants. Judges on the selection committee are chosen because of their long and distinguished track record in the animal health industry.
In addition, Scott Claassen has volunteered his time preparing and coaching company leaders for their upcoming presentations at the Animal Health Investment Forum. The Forum provides the unique opportunity for select early-stage animal health and nutrition companies to present their vision and business plan to potential investors. Historically, companies participating in the investment forum have gone on to raise more than $150 million in capital.
Stinson Leonard Street's Animal Health Nutrition group has assisted in laying the legal groundwork for the animal health and nutrition industries' development, representing many area companies, industry associations, research organizations and universities.
