Sharon Ng and Carrie Francis to Present at REDW Tribal Finance & Leadership Conference
Sharon Ng, Javier Torres and Carrie Francis will present "Labor and Employment Law Changes: How Will This Impact Sovereign Immunity?" at the REDW Tribal Finance & Leadership Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona. The session takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. Friday November 13, 2015.
Employment laws and regulations are constantly evolving. This presentation will provide insights into recent legal decisions and developments in labor and employment laws, regulations, and statutes, including the National Labor Relations Act. Ng and Francis are both partners at the law firm Stinson Leonard Street LLP. Ng is the chair of the firm's Tribal Law and Governance practice group. Francis devotes her practice to employment and labor law. They will address how these developments impact Native American entities—and potentially, their sovereign immunity.
Sharon is a litigator who represents both plaintiffs and defendants in commercial disputes. She has successfully represented the business interests of Native American tribes and entities.
