Scott Hecht, Christina Arnone to Present at Women Corporate Directors Event

Scott Hecht and Christina Arnone will be guest speakers at a meeting of the Kansas City Chapter of the Women Corporate Directors Wednesday, May 11 at Top Golf in Overland Park, Kan.

The discussion is entitled "What Directors need to know about D&O Insurance and Indemnification" and Scott and Christina will be joined by Laura Ozenberger, the former General Counsel of Inergy, LP.

The Women Corporate Directors is a community of trust for advice, experience, and mutual support-helping boards and search firms identify candidates for new directors, and helping exceptional women secure board and advisory board positions around the world.

Scott is a partner in the firm's Kansas City office and a leader of the firm's insurance litigation practice group. He advises clients about insurance issues and litigates insurance and employee benefits disputes. Executive liability insurance policies and Property/Business Interruption policies are Scott’s primary focus, but he also has substantial experience handling matters involving general liability insurance, pollution liability insurance, title insurance, cyber insurance, and fidelity bonds. Scott also has substantial experience defending ERISA claims involving both pension and welfare benefit plans. He is an elected fellow in the ACCEC.

Christina is an attorney in the firm's Kansas City office. She practices in the firm's business litigation division and insurance practice group. Christina represents clients in both federal and state courts in a broad range of complex commercial litigation. She regularly represents clients in insurance coverage disputes. Christina also represents clients in FLSA and ERISA litigation, and has defended several FLSA collective actions, including antitrust and wage and hour class actions.
