Matt Salzman to Present at Annual Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Institute
Matt Salzman will present at the upcoming 62nd Annual Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Institute July 21-23, 2016 in Squaw Valley, Calif.
His July 22 presentation is entitled "What Every Royalty Payor and Payee Needs to Know About the Recent Developments in Case Law and Regulations." It will explore issues in several areas of oil and gas royalty calculation including recent class action litigation and case law on deductions of post-production expenses, developments in marketable product jurisdictions and the impact of recent federal regulations affecting productions from federal and Indian leases.
Following a general session July 21, attendees to the Rocky Mountain Miner Law Institute can choose among presentations in the Mining, Oil & Gas, Water, Public Lands, Environmental, International, and Landman’s sections for the duration of the institute.
Matt is a litigator who represents clients in state, federal and appellate courtrooms across the country.
He has significant experience in contract-related litigation and class actions, particularly in the oil and gas, financial services, and insurance industries. He has more than a decade of experience working with unregulated pipeline companies on all sorts of common carrier, tariff, capacity, throughput, and expansion issues and litigation disputes.
