Jason Maus to Present at Novogradac NMTC Conference
Jason Maus will be a presenter at the upcoming Novogradac New Markets Tax Credit Conference June 2, 2016 at the Renaissance Washington hotel in Washington, D.C. Jason's presentation is entitled "Preventing Recapture" and will discuss ways to avoid a recapture of tax credits and mitigate liability.
The conference will feature presenters ranging from seasoned investors and compliance experts to CDE representatives and industry leaders who will delve into the latest information and discussion. In addition to two full days of presentations and panel discussions, Novogradac is offering two intensive one-day pre-seminar workshops on the basics of New Market Tax Credits.
The keynote speakers, Amias Gerety, the Acting Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions for the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and Annie Donovan, the Director for CDFI Fund for the U.S. Department of the Treasury, will discuss how to safeguard and facilitate the growth of the NMTC program to ensure the availability of critical capital for low-income communities.
Jason is a partner in the firm's Omaha office. He advises clients on structuring transactions that are designed to facilitate the award and transfer of federal and state tax credits, including new markets tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits and renewable energy tax credits.
