Guy Smith to Present at ABA's Young Lawyer Division Spring Conference
Guy Smith will be a featured speaker at the upcoming American Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division Spring Conference May 5-7, 2016 at the Four Seasons hotel in St. Louis, Mo.
The program is entitled "Overseas Money: Insights for Impact Investing in Emerging Markets." It will compare and contrast the types of work that the United States Government does internationally through highlighting the procurement process and impact investing. Joining Guy will be MaCayn May, an attorney with the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General Corps, Seoul, South Korea.
Guy is a partner in the firm's Minneapolis office. He has worked on numerous acquisitions, divestitures and financings, as well as complex commercial transactions, in the United States and overseas, and has considerable experience with general corporate matters and compliance-related initiatives. He has acted as lead counsel on numerous cross-border business deals and advised clients on international trade regulatory issues related to their business, including export controls, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), sanctions and customs-related matters.
