Dave Tripp, Brittany Barrientos to Present at ChemEdge Conference
Dave Tripp and Brittany Barrientos will be part of a panel discussion on enforcement of the Clean Air Act by the Environmental Protection Agency at the upcoming National Association of Chemical Distributors' ChemEdge. The conference is August 16-19, 2016 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center in The Woodlands, Texas.
ChemEdge is a conference and trade show for the chemical distribution industry. It provides training and education on issues important to chemical distributors, manufacturers, warehouses and service support companies.
Dave and Brittany are part of the "EPA Enforcement of the Clean Air Act General Duty Clause Against Chemical Distributors…Will You Be Punished for Accidents and Near-Misses?" panel at 3 p.m. on August 18. The talk will examine the General Duty Clause of the Clean Air Act and how the EPA has stepped up enforcement and is now using the clause as a means to prevent accidents before they occur.
Dave assists business clients with environmental enforcement, permitting and transactional issues. Prior to joining the firm, Dave was Regional Counsel, United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region VII. He is a fellow in the American College of Environmental Lawyers.
Brittany advises clients regarding environmental regulatory requirements arising under the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, hazardous waste laws and Superfund law, as well as state environmental laws and regulations. Brittany's practice also includes defense of agency enforcement actions.
