Bob Overman to Present at City Attorneys Association of Kansas' Spring CLE

Stinson Leonard Street partner Bob Overman is presenting at the City Attorneys Association of Kansas' annual spring CLE June 9, 2017 at the Meridian Center in Newton, Kan.

Bob's topic is entitled, "When Employee Mental Health Poses Direct Threat to Workplace – Employer Action Balanced by Employee Rights." With the increasing risk of this occurring in the workplace, Bob will cover rights and issues under the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act, plus ways to minimize the impact of workplace violence.

Bob is a partner in the firm's Wichita office. For more than 40 years, Bob has represented employers with all manner of labor issues. He works with employers contesting federal and state OSHA citations, and provides defense before the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission and State Department of Labor proceedings. Bob also counsels cities and colleges in employee (including faculty) negotiations, employee and student due process, compliance with FLSA, FMLA, and Title IX, and provides defense to complaints brought by the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights.
