Adam Maier, Angie Fletcher Will Present at Western Independent Bankers Expo

Stinson Leonard Street attorneys Adam Maier and Angie Fletcher will be presenting at the Western Independent Bankers 2017 Education Summit & Expo Sept. 17-20, 2017 at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in Carlsbad, Calif.

Adam and Angie will present "How the Current BSA/AML Regulatory Environment Affects Every Bank" at 11:15 a.m. Sept. 18.They will discuss recent changes in BSA/AML regulation and enforcement, including a discussion of how new rules and guidance are being implemented and what these changes mean to your institution. Using real-world examples and stories from the industry, attendees will hear how issues arising from BSA/AML compliance can affect a bank's operations and even destroy pending mergers and acquisitions.

Adam is a partner in the firm's Minneapolis office and co-chairs the firm's banking and financial services division. He focuses his practice on the business interests and growth strategies of financial institutions and their owners. He advises financial institutions in a broad range of strategic transactions, including buying and selling banks and branches, de novo charters, forming holding companies, raising capital, reorganizations and before state and federal regulatory authorities.

Angie is an attorney in the firm's Denver office. She represents banking and financial institutions with their corporate and commercial transactional matters. Her practice focuses on advising clients in connection with their strategic reorganization, merger, acquisition and dissolution transactions, as well as providing corporate secretarial and governance counseling, preparing and negotiating commercial contracts, and advising on general business law matters.
