2014 NIST Cybersecurity Framework Webinar

02.20.2014 | 2 - 4 p.m.

The final version of the Cybersecurity Framework, which is expected to be released on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), will set out a series of guidelines establishing a baseline cybersecurity program for entities managing cybersecurity risks to 18 critical infrastructure industries, which include the energy, financial, agribusiness, transportation, and communications sectors.

Pursuant to directives in President Obama's February 2013 Executive Order 13636 on Cybersecurity, government agencies are called upon to develop sector-specific implementation guidance and to evaluate cross-sector adoption of the Framework.

Join Stinson Leonard Street LLP Partners Russell Frisby and Jonathan Schneider on Thursday, February 20, for a review of the Framework and the steps that will be taken across industrial sectors to implement it. The discussion will review incentives under development to assist entities in responding to cyber risk, and the role of the Framework in establishing the standard of care for managing cyber risks.
