Brad offers a diverse understanding of the immigration and health care industry when representing clients in complex legal issues.

Overview

Brad helps businesses, schools and health care institutions recruit and retain the highly qualified professionals they need to compete. He also helps individual workers obtain temporary and permanent visas. Additionally, he counsels individuals and businesses on estate tax, income tax and securities laws, as well as general corporate advice. He also represents clients in the commercial real estate industry.

Brad helps manufacturers, colleges and universities, including the University of Missouri, hospitals and health care systems, information technology and software companies as they seek and hire skilled workforces. He also works with researchers, scientists, physicians, teachers, business executives, engineers, information technology professionals and others, assisting them through the immigration process. His experience with Physician J-1 waivers is recognized by the Conrad 30 Program offices in Kansas, Missouri and Illinois and the Delta Regional Authority, which have called on Brad’s knowledge and counsel regarding operations and proposed regulatory changes.

Experience

Brad has represented doctors in J-1 immigration status throughout the U.S. obtain waivers to the two-year residency requirement by obtaining a Conrad 30 waiver, Delta Regional Authority Waiver or HHS waiver. He is a co-author of Immigration Options for Physicians, Third Edition, published by the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

He represents Fortune 500s, private companies, universities, medical groups and physicians in all aspects of business immigration, including labor certifications and national interest waivers, first preference immigration petitions for those with extraordinary ability, outstanding researchers, executives, managers and corporate immigration compliance, including Form 1-9 and the E-Verify program.

He has also helped clients obtain nonimmigrant status for foreign nationals in H-1B specialty occupations, L-1A, L-1B executives and managers, E-3 Australian Specialty Occupation, TN-Treaty nationals and B-1 visitor for business.

Brad assists clients with a wide-range of non-immigrant matters including representing individuals in retail, service, manufacturing and medical businesses in obtain E 1/E-2 Treaty Investor Visas.

As part of his estate planning and probate practice, Brad works with individuals and businesses on estate documents, advises on how to minimize taxes and assists with business succession planning. He also administers probate estates.

Brad works with real estate clients on the acquisition, exchange, sale and development of multi-family, shopping center, commercial and hotel properties and in development of residential properties.
