Patricia A. Zieg

Patty chairs the firm's Health Care practice group and serves as outside general counsel to several health care providers including health systems, physicians and tribally-owned health centers and nursing homes. Her work includes advising on medical staff documents, credentialing and privileging and the structuring of ventures including counsel on federal and state anti-fraud and self-referral laws. She also regularly advises health care clients on risk management, confidentiality and privacy including HIPAA, licensure and regulatory matters and nonprofit entity issues. Her experience includes membership on the ethics committee of an academic medical center and serving on the Douglas County Nebraska Blue Ribbon Committee. She was appointed to make recommendations to the Douglas County Board of Commissioners on health care services provided by or through Douglas County, Nebraska.

• Patty chaired the Magistrate Selection Panel for the United State District Court for the District of Nebraska in 2010.
